Dr. Tomasz Warga

Dr Tomasz Warga is an assistant professor in the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering at Lodz University of Technology, Poland.

His area of interest covers nanomaterials and methods of their functionalization, especially graphene and its derivatives. His PhD thesis described processes allowing to create 3D structures based on 2D materials (graphene and graphene oxide). His laboratory work also covers the subject of creating porous composites with different nanoparticles inside, attached both chemically and physically.

Dr Tomasz Warga took part in projects, which subjects ranged from storing hydrogen in nanocomposites, to water purification using graphene-based materials, to creating mobile platform for fast pathogen detection. He is also a co-author of numerous publication related to graphene-based nanocomposites, their synthesis, physicochemical properties and application.
